Kolotour has been offering guided, van supported bicycle tours throughout Central Europe since 1990. My interest in this area of the world began with a curiosity about my family roots. In 1989 I located the tiny village in Bohemia that my grandfather had left in 1892 on his journey to the United States. I was amazed to discover that relatives still lived in my grandfather's boyhood home. I spent an exciting day with them comparing old papers, sharing photos and reuniting a family separated by oceans, continents and a century of time. This discovery, coupled with my previous experiences as a bicycle tour guide throughout Central and Eastern Europe, was the inspiration for Kolotour Bicycle Holidays. Over the years we have focused solely on this vibrant region since it is one of the most perfect places on earth to enjoy a cycling adventure. Quiet roads, beautiful scenery, interesting historical sites, new modern hotels, and fine restaurants all combine to provide a true "European" experience. In addition, we have made special contacts, developed close friendships, and gained first-hand knowledge which enables us to provide you with a very unique and personal adventure outing.
